Maine Career Development Association
Presenter: Maria MacDougal, College Access Counselor, FAME
60% of Mainers will need to have a credential of value by the year 2025 to sustain Maine’s workforce. Education and career pathways have always been entwined, but now more than ever discussions around credential attainment are essential. The path to a credential of value isn’t always linear. Students can achieve educational goals in a variety of ways, whether starting college just out of high school, or going to work first. In this session, we’ll discuss the multiple higher education pathways students can take to earn a credential, employers offering educational opportunities, and how you can help bridge the skills gap.
